I photographed these flamingos as they sprinted across shallow Lake Magadi to gain momentum for flight. Gliding above them in an ultralight, I concentrated solely on perspective. The drama of the scene was intensified by the sharp contrast between the birds' brilliant pink legs and the dark green water.
