African buffalo (Syncerus caffer), Amboseli National Park, Kenya
A herd of cape buffalo stir up a cloud of dust as they race across a dry lake bed in search of water within Amboseli National Park in Southern Kenya. During the wet season the lake swells with water, runoff from nearby Mt. Kilamanjaro. In recent years too much water has devastated Amboseli Forests as deforestation on Kilamanjaro slopes has lead to floods on the plains below.
