Polka-dot tree frog, Manú National Park, Peru

The Amazon Basin harbors the largest rainforest and most powerful river on the plant. There are hundreds of species of frogs that call the Amazon home, among them the polka-dot treefrog. This frog has fluorescent compounds in its skin which cause it to subtly glow in twilight.
