Parade at Kuarup (funeral) ceremony, Upper Xingu Indians, Matogrosso, Brazil

To this day, witnessing this Kuarup parade remains one of the high points of my career. Kamayura and Kuikuro tribes gathered to celebrate the life of a deceased tribal member. It is a great event, marked by processions, wrestling, and feasting.
