I try to pre-visualize images but sometimes an unimagined opportunity arises. A fin whale surfaced in the placid waters of the Sea of Cortez, creating these pleasing curves and surfaces. The fin whale is a baleen, the second largest species after the blue whale, and the largest specimens grow to 88 feet.
