Bald eagle (Haliaeetus leucocephalus)

An adult eagle roosts amid the lush, moss-laden branches of a giant Sitka spruce above Anan Creek. I used two tripods to make the camera stationary with such a big lens. This photo is as much about the environment the eagle lives in as the power of the bird itself.
